Traveling to Gold Coast and need some Surfers Paradise travel tips? We put together everything you’ll need to know for a quick getaway on the Gold Coast, Surfers Paradise.

Where to Stay: Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences

6 ORCHID AVENUE, SURFERS PARADISE QLD 4217, AUSTRALIA
First on the list for Surfers Paradise travel tips is which hotel to stay in. The Hilton Surfers Paradise is a great hotel that’s smack bang right in the middle of the action. Right under it are restaurants, bars, cafes, and woolies. We chose to stay in the residence part of the hotel which is more like an apartment than a hotel room. Makes it more comfortable with plenty of space and is more fun since you can fit more people in the same room.

Morning Coffees: ESPL Coffee Brewers

4 THE ESPLANADE, SURFERS PARADISE QLD 4217, AUSTRALIA
These guys are open every morning for coffee and the coffee is good! Don’t know what I would have done without them. It’s just across the road from the hotel.

Craft Beer O’clock: Black Coffee Lyrics

3131 SURFERS PARADISE BOULEVARD, SURFERS PARADISE QLD 4217, AUSTRALIA
This place is hidden upstairs in a dodgy looking alley but literally right next to the Hilton hotel. They have an awesome selection of craft beers and if you want an evening caffeine hit, they actually do very good coffee as well. I didn’t try the food here but apparently it’s not too bad.

Hearty Dinner: Hurricane’s Grill Surfers

4-14 THE ESPLANADE, SURFERS PARADISE QLD 4217, AUSTRALIA
Yeh, this is a chain that originated from Bondi… but who cares, the ribs are amazing and it’s reliable! This one must have opened recently in 2014 – it looks great and has a really good bar with great drink selection. Make sure you book because it gets full pretty quickly.

Cheap & Cheerful Dinner: Amimoto Japanese Restaurant

24 ORCHID AVE, SURFERS PARADISE QLD 4217, AUSTRALIA
In a dodgy arcade you wouldn’t think to go into is this hidden and equally dodgy looking Japanese restaurant. Don’t let it put you off, the food is actually pretty good and it’s cheap. Get here early or book because it gets full.
We hope you found our Surfers Paradise travel tips and let us know how your trip went.
